Meursault 2002 – Limozin, Domaine Bocard, Burgundy
Softness and finesse are the main characteristics of these wines. This wine is nutty, buttery and spicy with overtones of honey, cinnamon and vanilla. Deliciously dry and rich.
Made from Chardonnay grapes, the finest white Burgundies are considered to be produced in the Côte de Beaune, the Southern part of the Côte d’Or. The most important communes include Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet, where limestone soils and the aspect of the vineyard provide perfect growing conditions for the even ripening of grapes.
Guy Bocard owns 9 hectares in the environs of the village of Meursault. His vines of Aligoté, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir have an average age of 28 years from which we have secured parcels from two good vintages for Burgundy. These delightful wines both show full firm fruit, backed with vanilla and oak tones.
