Rioja Reserva 2004 - Jaun de Alzate, Spain

Made from 90% Tempranillo with minute portions of Graciano, Mazuelo and Viura, the wine is aged in oak casks for 24 months and in bottle for a further 24 months. This Reserva is rich, full of character and has a long-lasting aftertaste of red fruits and vanilla oak.

Our flagship range of premium quality Rioja’s from the Bodegas L Casado in the Rioja Alavesa. This pretty bodega has approximately 40 hectares of vineyard with vines an average age of 40 years. Eighty-five percent of the vines are the indigenous Tempranillo with the remainder comprising ‘blending’ varieties such as Graciano, Mazuelo and Garnacha. One of our personal favourites is the 1995 Reserva:
